Vascular Treatments
The Process Unveiled
During a treatment session, our MeDioStar®’s vascular handpiece emits light energy that penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the hemoglobin within the blood vessels. This absorption of light induces a significant increase in blood temperature, resulting in inflammation and coagulation of the targeted blood vessels. It's worth noting that while blood efficiently absorbs the light energy, the surrounding water in the skin does not, ensuring precise and effective damage to the blood vessels without harming the surrounding skin.
Our MeDioStar®'s vascular handpiece uses a unique wavelength, maximizing hemoglobin absorption and facilitating the treatment of small blood vessels. Benign vascular lesion treatments are notably speedy, typically requiring just a few minutes to complete, and they require little to no downtime.
In contrast to surgical procedures, cryotherapy and other ineffective methods for vascular lesion removal, our treatments are non-invasive, highly effective, relatively painless and yield long-lasting results. In most cases, a single treatment is sufficient for the removal of most vascular lesions, although larger lesions may necessitate additional sessions spaced at least six weeks apart to give the body enough time to properly heal.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long is a vascular treatment?
We use the most advanced laser technology to ensure a swift and safe treatment for each of our clients. Some treatments can last just a few seconds depending on the size of the vascular lesion. Most clients will need little to no downtime, allowing them to get back to their everyday schedule.
How many treatments are needed?
The number of sessions needed for removal will depend on a variety of factors including location, size of the lesion, the individual’s health, and more. Typically, clients will only need one to two treatments to see results.
Will the procedure hurt?
Treatment is generally well-tolerated and very brief. The laser sensation is often compared to that of a rubber band snapping lightly against the skin. Again, no numbing cream required.
Are there side effects?
Our cutting-edge MeDioStar® laser is safe for use on all body areas. While some clients may experience redness, itching, or soreness, those side effects will subside shortly after a vascular treatment. Additionally, little to no downtime is required post treatment, allowing clients to get back to their daily schedules.
